City narrowed the gap to Premier League leaders Liverpool to six points with a comfortable 3-1 victory over West Bromwich Albion at The Etihad on Monday. Pablo Zabaleta, Sergio Aguero and Martin Demichelis all scored for City as three different Argentinian players netted in a Premier League match for the first time. Unfortunately the game was marred by what looked like a seroius injury to David Silva who was stretchered off mid way through the second half with his right leg in a brace.

Fernandinho has admitted Manchester City are running on empty as their title challenge took a huge hit last night. Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho described Wednesday's dropped points against the Black Cats as “a complete disaster” and said City's gruelling schedule had left them mentally and physically exhausted. City have played 13 more than title favourites Liverpool who haven't had any European football this season,and Fernandinho said the fixture overload was beginning to take its toll.
